What is Attababy Jobs?
We’re a free job placement service for military veterans. We also provide free coaching so our candidates impress hiring managers.

Does Attababy Jobs charge to help find me a job?
Nope. Attababy Jobs is a free service for veterans. Our clients pay us a small fee to help them hire great employees.

Are these direct hire positions or temp to perm?
Direct hire.

What sort of salary can I expect?
Our client companies offer a wide variety of salaries depending on the position and your skill level. They range from $10 per hour up to $50,000 per year. We do not deal with companies that offer 100% commission jobs. These are real jobs with career opportunities to receive increased pay and responsibility.

What kind of jobs do you offer?
We have contracts with employers who have openings in a wide variety of fields such as customer service, sales, marketing, service, IT, manufacturing, and administrative support. Our client companies offer full-time positions, competitive salaries, and benefits.

How do I get started?
Simply complete our brief registration. If we feel you’re a good fit for one of our openings, we’ll then contact you to arrange a phone interview.

What happens after that?
Assuming there’s a mutual interest in working together, we will record your one-minute video introduction via Skype. We use this video to present you to hiring managers. Sample.

Why is the video introduction so important?
When employers are looking to hire, they want a sense of who the applicant is. They can evaluate your enthusiasm, confidence, presentability, and communication skills…criteria a printed resume will never reveal. We’ve found that the video profile gives you a huge advantage.

What if I do not want to record a video?
Allowing us to record your video is a requirement to work with us. Please don’t stress over this. It is in our interest to ONLY show you at your best. We will record you however long it takes us to get the footage we need to make you look great.

Do you guarantee me a job?
We cannot make that promise. We will work hard for you to get your interviews and coach you every step of the way. Whether or not you ultimately land a job is entirely up to you and the hiring manager.

What is your success rate?
About 75% of our candidates we present to hiring managers receive face-to face interviews. Roughly 60% of those who interview receive job offers.

What is expected of me?
We expect you to be professional with us at all times. That means immediately returning our phone calls and emails, being coachable, being on-time to interviews, and doing your best at all times. If you are unable to commit to these requirements, we are not the company to help you.

Can I see a list of your client companies?
We do not publish that list ahead of time. As soon as we get you an interview, we will share the company name and detailed job description so you can do your research and decide if it’s an opportunity you want to pursue.

Can I recommend a friend?
Absolutely! If you know any Connecticut veterans out of work right now or under-employed, please encourage him or her to apply on our website. Make sure they mention your name so we can thank you.

What’s with the name?
The company was named in honor of Jordie Kern’s dad, a World War II Army veteran, who used the term “Attababy” as a way to say he was proud of a job well done.

This inspiration behind Attababy Jobs: Joel Kern, Jordie’s father, joined the Army at age 17 to fight for our freedom in the Philippines during WWII.
